In a world where a criminals act above the law. One man and an awesome machine were sent out to help the innocent and powerless. This is my tribute to a wonderful and educational show that has literally changed all of us to the twenty first century. If any of you have ever watched this show and seen some of the technology provided at that time, look at us now as see the similarities.


Knight of the Phoenix was the opening show for the Knight Rider. Below is a short summary of how Micheal Long become the Knight Rider.


While working on an undercover case involving industrial saboteurs in Las Vegas, policeman Michael Long is shot in the head. Miraculously, the bullet is deflected by a plate in Long's head and he is given a second chance at a life in crime fighting. Dying, eccentric millionaire Wilton Knight transforms Long's identity via plastic surgery and bequeaths him a talking, computer-controlled car, the Knight Industries Two Thousand or K.I.T.T. for short. With K.I.T.T., Michael Long (who is now rechristened Michael Knight) becomes the millionaire's emissary to conquer crime and confront criminals beyond the limits of the law.
